The Storybox was a prototype developed over four weeks in Spring 2011 to continue the work of the Mythology Engine, but to use an original story, and focussed more on the story telling than the story world.
After securing financial backing from a variety of sources across the BBC, I, together with Andrew Barron, recruited a team comprised of Mike Atherton (UX), David Varela (writer) and Tom Stuart (developer), and again co-produced the prototype, providing overall direction and taking on an editorial role with the story itself.
The Storybox can be accessed here, was presented at Transmedia London and the Immersive Writing Lab, and the source code & data is available for non-commercial, attributed use and development – get in touch by commenting below.
I blogged about it in more detail, too.
